Is Cella free?

Yes. The free plan covers label scanning, up to 12 bottles in one cellar, and basic bottle details. Cella Premium is an optional subscription that unlocks unlimited bottles and cellars, drinking windows, estimated values, critic scores, taste profiles, food pairings, serving advice, the wine journal, and more. New subscribers to the yearly plan start with a one-month free trial.

Do I need an account?

No. You can use Cella without one. Creating an account, with your email address or Sign in with Apple, adds cloud backup and lets you use your cellar on another device.

How does wine label scanning work?

Accepted Answer

Point your camera at a wine label, or choose a photo, and Cella identifies the wine: producer, name, vintage, region, and grapes. With Cella Premium you also see its drinking window, estimated value, and critic scores.

What devices does Cella work on?

Cella is available for iPhone on the App Store and needs iOS 15.1 or later.

How do I cancel my subscription?

On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Cella. You keep Cella Premium until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

What happens to my data if I cancel Premium?

Nothing is deleted. Your bottles stay in your cellar and Premium features lock until you subscribe again. The free plan's limit of 12 bottles applies when you add new ones.

Is my data secure?

Your collection is stored on your device. If you sign in, it is also backed up to your Cella account so you can restore it. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Can I export my wine collection?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In the app, go to More, then Privacy & Security, then Export Your Data to save a copy of your collection. It is available on every plan.

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

In the app, go to More, then Manage Account, then Delete Account. Your account and its cloud backup are deleted from our servers. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, so cancel that first in your App Store settings.

Values are estimates gathered from public price listings and should be used as a guide. They are not appraisals or financial advice.
